vic park minilab

The Vic Park MiniLab is a collaboration between enkel and the Vic Park Collective and involves activation of a vacant building on the Vic Park main street (874 Albany Highway) which the Town of Victoria Park has provided on a 12 month peppercorn lease. Together with the Vic Park Collective and other partners, enkel activates this “minilab” space through experimental workshops, events, and stakeholder collaborations which fall under the theme #newpossibilites.

The intent of the Vic Park MiniLab is to expose Vic Park and the broader Perth community to innovative future-focused thinking and provide them with opportunities to experiment with new ways of working, learning, making, eating & drinking.

We are looking for inventors, community members, entrepreneurs, thinkers, designers, makers, coders, engineers and creative people who would like to use the Vic Park MiniLab to test out interesting ideas from this space.

To cover overheads such as internet, utilities and running costs, we have some nominal costs to use the space. Depending on the type of group and what you are offering the community, we have scaled the costs to make sure that the space is accessible and affordable to anyone who wants to experiment with an innovative idea or project to benefit the community.

Priority will be given to projects or activities which are have an innovative aspect to them. When it is not being used for experimental community projects, the space is also available to rent for more general presentations, functions and workshops.
